Toddlers Transition!

The Toddlers spent their first week of school adjusting to their new environment, with parents joining them in introductory activities. As a group, they focused on learning each other’s names, and some of our classroom routines and procedures. Toddlers took home a book with names and pictures of all of their teachers and school office staff, so that they can work with their parents to become familiar with the people at school.

With children from 18 months to age 3, the Bamboo Cottage at Qingdao Amerasia International School is the only Toddler program in Asia to be accredited by the American Montessori Society. Our full-time program empowers toddlers to explore the world around them, helping them to develop practical life skills; use information from their senses to build understanding; learn through Art and Musical exercises; develop their language skills; and practice grace and courtesy in community with other children and adults.
