Students Share Their World – Primary Years Program Unit Celebration

Unit Celebrations are an interactive and informative way for students to share their knowledge and accomplishments with parents and peers. Classroom displays are set up to convey student learning, while visitors are able to get a firsthand look at their growth and progress.

First grade students invited parents to share in a nutritional and well-balanced feast as a way to demonstrate what they learned in their unit on food and health. Grade two combined physics and art to show off their clever machines and inspired inventions, while grade three took parents on personalized tours of their hidden worlds and countries, as a way to incorporate geography and creativity, as well as further promote the QAIS mission of building bridges to deeper understanding of other cultures.

During this time, students take full ownership of their learning, while also offering peers and guests an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and success.
