Strawberry Fields Forever: Montessori Field Trip

The sweet smell of freshly grown strawberries permeated the air, as students from the Plum Blossom, Peony, and Lotus Montessori cottages ventured outside of school and explored colorful and aromatic strawberry farms and gardens. The children were accompanied by several parents and were partnered into buddy systems, so they could enjoy the field trip in the safest and most enjoyable way possible.

Children were able to taste the berries as they walked along the linear rows, and some even purchased extra strawberries to take home. The children had a wonderful time on their first field trip of the year and learned, first hand, how sunlight, soil, and moisture affected plant growth and production. It was a beautiful day to go on an adventure, and fun was had by all.
