QAIS Super Student Profile of the Week - Bessie, Grade 8

Each week we will profile one or more students. This week’s inaugural student profile is of grade 8’s Xiaoya “Bessie” Xu.

What is your favorite learning experience that you remember?

It was a week ago in Science class when we were learning about the elements. We did a really fun experiment. We used hydrogen and fire to make a little explosion. At first, I was kind of scared. Then we played a game called battleship which could help us to remember the names of the elements.

Describe a dream of what you will be doing in 20 years.

I want to be a writer, because I feel like people cannot live without literature. By using literature, we learn to appreciate beauty. Also, I could send many important messages to people this way so it is a form of self expression.
