Outdoor Activity Day
On Wednesday, June 17, all the PYP and MYP students spent the day out doors, participating in six problem solving activities!
Students were organized in groups that contained a mix of students from grades 1 – 10, and each group was represented by a different color. Each activity lasted for 30 minutes and was led by a secondary student. Thank you Justin, Andee, Reece, Juuso, Misu, Ruth, and James for facilitating the activities for the school! Teachers kept track of the students’ cooperative spirit and team building actions during each activity and shared their observations at the end of each half hour.
Each activity required a different set of skill sets to be successful, and each group had students who were talented in a variety of areas. It was obvious that our students cared about each other. The older students guided the younger students and everyone worked together to solve the problems that were presented to them. Thank you to Chris Cronin, our physical education teacher, for organizing this event. It was a great day filled with a field of QAIS green T-shirts!
