MYP Humanities Fair

On Monday, January 18, students in IB Middle Years Programme students in Grades 8, 9, and 10 used projects and presentations to help others throughout the school understand the concept of human rights in the school’s first Humanities Fair. Each group of students had selected an article of the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights (http://www.un.org/en/universal-declaration-human-rights/), and created a way to help other students understand the need for protection of that particular right. In an exploration of equal treatment, IB Primary Years Programme students went on a scavenger hunt and received different levels of help depending on an arbitrary feature. Another group created a ‘snakes and ladders’ game to illustrate access to economic opportunity.
