MYP Design: Building a Brighter Future
MYP Design students recently participated in “The Marshmallow Challenge”, which is a remarkably fun and instructive design exercise that encourages teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation, and creativity.
The task is simple: in eighteen minutes, teams must build the tallest free-standing structure out of 20 sticks of spaghetti, one yard of tape, one yard of string, and one marshmallow. The marshmallow needs to be on top.
All grades came up with interesting and unique structures of different heights, shapes, and ideas.
The winning team of the challenge in each class:
7&8: Reece, Jere, Victoria, and Sunny
9&10: Kangmin, Juuso, Azton and Jake
