International Day Celebrates Diversity and Community

Performances
The Vocal Performance group kicked off the day with an a cappella rendition of Let’s Get it Started, and later over a hundred parents and children swayed and clapped to Zemer Atik, a traditional folk dance from Israel. There were piano and vocal performances, an Indian dance, Chinese jump rope games, Zumba… really an astounding mix!

Activities
Throughout the morning, over 300 attendees sampled curries, dumplings, cakes, barbecue, sandwiches, cookies, and other treats from every habitable continent. Student Council hosted the ‘Small World Activity Center’, helping youngsters make loom bands, get tattoos and hair chalk, and warm up with hot chocolate.
