Grade 10 Personal Project
In culmination of their final year in the IB MYP, 10th grade students Lucy Dustman, Candy Choi, and Andee Ashelman pulled out all the stops on their final personal projects. Displays lined the entryway, as teachers, students, and parents viewed their impressive work.
Lucy developed an interactive website, so IB students and teachers across the globe could connect with one another and share their academic experiences. Globally Minded Chatter launched earlier this spring and has already amassed members from all over Asia and North America. http://globallymindedchatter.com/
Candy’s project combined learning Korean with a fun and engaging online game. She researched a great deal about language learning and different gaming templates to create her own version to help others acquire her home language.
Finally, Andee took on the complex issue of censorship for her personal project. “I designed wearable art to express censorship, symbolizing the blockage of websites, information, and the expression of the whole truth.” Her minimalistic black and red blouse encompassed a great deal of depth and insight.
All three young ladies exemplified what the IB MYP is all about, and we’re very proud of their creativity, knowledge, and hard work.
