Grade 3 - Who We Are

Grade 3 had the summative assessment in their unit on Who We Are, looking into how “the relationships we form have an impact on our community.” In the unit, they examined what it means to build and maintain relationships; the importance of similarities and differences in communities; resolving conflict in a community; and how relationships define us in different ways.

For their summative assessment, each student created a museum display of artifacts which showed something about who he is. The students took turns presenting their own artifacts, and also kept track of ways in which they were similar to or different from their classmates. After all of the presentations, they discussed their findings!
