Class Buddies: Grade 5 Read to Early Childhood

On Friday, Jan 29th, Grade 5 students joined their buddies in the Lotus Cottage to share the gift of great books! Each Grade 5 student brought a stack of favorite books, and read them with a small group of 3- to 6-year old friends. This activity was part of our class buddies program, which brings together classes from different sections of the school for collaborative projects and other activities.

At QAIS, we believe that allowing students of different ages to work together benefits the social, emotional, and intellectual development of all involved. Each class is matched up with a buddy in a different section of the school. This program is one of the many ways that we help our students develop confidence in themselves and empathy for others.
