Buddy Class Visits Lotus Cottage

Today we had a wonderful visit from our Buddy Class – Grades 4/5/6!  Older students brought a wide variety of books in Chinese and English, and were each paired up with one of our children to read the stories. Our children were captivated! Lotus Classroom children also enjoyed showing their buddies around our classroom, explaining the different kinds of work and activities we have here.

Montessori education emphasizes different ages learning from each other, and it was wonderful to extend this beyond our 3-6 age group today, to include the 4-6 graders. What a great day to celebrate literacy, communication, and friendship!
