Being the Change - PYP students clean the beach

QAIS is on a roll when it comes to improving our local Qingdao community. Our PYP students and staff got their hands dirty for a good cause by cleaning up Fushan Mountain, as well as the Sculpture Park and Shi Lao Ren Beaches. 1st- 6th graders took advantage of the amazing weather to further beautify our lovely city. They worked hand-in-hand to carefully collect trash and debris and dispose of it properly.

Furthermore, first and fourth grade students had the opportunity to analyze the art work of the Sculpture Garden by discussing interesting features and the stories behind each intriguing piece. It was a fantastic opportunity to take learning and action outside, while making a positive impact on Qingdao.
