Class Buddies - MYP Chinese and Peony Cottage

Grade 9 students in the Language A Chinese class paid a visit to their buddies in the Peony Cottage Early Childhood classroom to share stories and traditions of Chinese New Year! The students presented pictures of different parts of Spring Festival, and shared stories about the monster Nian and helped the Early Childhood students prepare for the holiday.

At QAIS, we believe that allowing students of different ages to work together benefits the social, emotional, and intellectual development of all involved. Each class is matched up with a buddy in a different section of the school. This program is one of the many ways that we help our students develop confidence in themselves and empathy for others.
