Telling Stories: Grade 2

In their unit on How We Express Ourselves, Grade 2 looked at how “Stories can engage their audience and communicate meaning.” They created their own fables, and presented the fables to an audience of parents, friends, and staff at Qingdao Amerasia International School.

Another impressive feature of the celebration was the trilingual ‘welcoming committee’ posted at the entrance to the school! Thomas Kim, Rebecca Sun, and Claudia Shirra guided attendees to their classroom, using their native Korean, Chinese, and English, respectively. These kids have terrific ideas, and they are learning how to take action!
