This week marked an exciting start to the school sports season, filled with thrilling events that showcased the athletes’ hard work and dedication. 

The U14 football teams had a memorable week. The girls’ team dominated their match against QISS with a 7-0 victory, showing fierce competitiveness, solid high pressing, and quick attacking transitions. The boys also excelled, winning 7-1 against QISS, thanks to the depth of their squad and versatile players. 

On Thursday, the U14 boys faced ISQ in a high-paced battle but ultimately lost 5-4. Coach LK highlighted their sportsmanship, remarking, “Our boys were hurt after the loss but demonstrated great sportsmanship and will use this defeat to fuel them in the future.” The girls managed a hard-fought 1-1 draw against ISQ, showcasing solid defensive performances and developing team chemistry with both returning and new players. 

In volleyball, the U19 girls put up a strong fight against QISS on Tuesday but fell just short, losing 2-1 in a nail-biting third set. Their commitment and on-court chemistry were evident despite the loss. The boys celebrated a convincing 3-0 victory over QISS, with all players gaining valuable court time. Coach Laki mentioned, “The boys completed a very solid match, minimizing mistakes and focusing on communication.” 

Thursday saw both the U19 boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams fighting hard to secure victories in tightly contested matches against ISQ that went to the third set. Each match was a testament to the athletes’ ability to perform under pressure and execute strategies effectively. 

These games not only set the stage for upcoming tournaments but also emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, honor, and learning from each experience on and off the field.
