FAMILY FUN RUN 2024 // 2024家庭欢乐跑

A momentous occasion unfolded at the Amerasia Family Fun Run, a vibrant community event that brought together over 700 attendees from the Amerasia and Qingdao Communities. The day was brimming with joy, unity, and a focus on celebrating the spirit of togetherness. The day began with the community dance, followed by the 5km race that saw runners, bikers, parents with strollers, skateboards, and tricycles move across the shoreline. From engaging activities and a talent show to a raffle and delectable food offerings, attendees were treated to a spectrum of delights throughout the day. As the festivities unfolded with activities like face painting, kite making and flying, hula hoop challenges, and more, every member of the Amerasia community found their role in supporting the success of the event. Kelly W. (MYP 3) reflects on her experience: ‘The Family Fun Run is one of the biggest events at Amerasia, where families gather together to participate in a 5km run, enjoy activities and different kinds of tasty food. A meaningful part in my experience was challenging myself to run a long distance without a vehicle, which was a testament of resilience. In addition, this activity is a great opportunity to strengthen the bond between members of Amerasia and unite our school spirit.’  

The Family Fun Run was not just a day of excitement and merriment; it was a testament to the unifying power of community, fostering bonds and memories that will last a lifetime. With a diverse range of activities and heartfelt moments, the Amerasia Family Fun Run exemplified the values of collaboration, support, and joy that define our close-knit community. Each member’s contribution, from the administrative team to the students and staff, to the generous donors and sponsors played a vital role in creating a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences! 

充满活力的家庭欢乐跑是美亚社区具有传统的活动盛事，今年来自美亚学校和青岛社区超过700人，在欢快的氛围中聚集在一起庆祝社区精神。活动以集体舞蹈开场，接着大家沿着海滨完成5公里的欢乐跑。参与者们或跑或走、骑自行车、多人车、滑板、轮滑，父母推着婴儿车，以各式各样的方式完成这段美妙的线路；之后在凯悦酒店的草坪上各种互动游戏、才艺表演，以及令人惊喜的幸运抽奖和美味餐饮，让所有参与者度过了独一无二的难忘时光。每位美亚社区成员都参与其中，为活动成功贡献个人力量，有的为小朋友进行精美脸部彩绘，有的组织孩子们制作并放飞风筝，还有人组织了呼啦圈比赛等各种有趣的活动，大家玩得不亦乐乎。Kelly W.（MYP 3）回顾自己的经历时说：“家庭欢乐跑是美亚最大的活动之一，各个家庭聚集在一起，参加5公里跑步，享受各种活动和美食。对我最有意义的部分是挑战自己在不求助车辆的情况下跑长距离，是勇气和毅力的证明。此外，这个活动是美亚社区成员加强联系的好机会，大家更加团结，学校精神得到了更好的发扬。” 

家庭欢乐跑不仅是一场充满激情的快乐运动，更是社区力量和团结精神的见证。美亚家庭欢乐跑内容丰富，高潮迭起，充分展现出美亚社区倡导的协作、支持和欢乐的价值观。无论是行政团队、学生、教职员工，还是慷慨的捐赠者和赞助商，每一位成员都为这充满笑声、友爱和快乐的一天作出了重要的贡献！
