Grade 2 at the Zoo

Second graders are inquiring into the ways animals and plants adapt to their habitat for their current unit of inquiry. Students got up close to observe animals at the Huangdao Wildlife Zoo. This experience reinforced what students have been learning about animal classification and the characteristics they have to adapt to their environment. Taking learning outside the classroom inspires students to generate more inquiries and promotes further student-initiated actions!
