QAIS robotics take the World Championship by storm | QAIS机器人风靡世锦赛

Two QAIS teams competed in the MakeX Robotics World Championship held in Guangzhou, China from December 6 to 9, 2018.

The numbers of this competition are staggering: 10.000 contestants in 3000 teams from 20 Countries and 50 cities and an online audience of 2,000,000 online!

2018年12月6日至9日，两支QAIS团队参加了在中国广州举行的MakeX机器人世界锦标赛。

这次比赛的参赛人数令人震惊:来自20个国家和50个城市的3000支球队的10000名选手和200万在线观众!

With such fierce competition, we are very proud to announce that “Team Super 3”, composed of Anna Gao, David Jin, Kimi Chen, Mark Qin, Yuka MizuMoto, and led by team captain Charlie Liu received the “Technological Innovation Award” for showcasing innovation in engineering and presentation of their robot. (You can see the award displayed in the lobby).

在如此激烈的竞争中，我们非常自豪地宣布，由Anna Gao, David Jin, Kimi Chen, Mark Qin, Yuka MizuMoto等人组成的“Team Super 3”，在队长Charlie Liu的带领下，展示了他们的机器人在工程上的创新和展示，获得了“技术创新奖”。(您可以在学校大厅目睹奖牌风采)。

Team 美亚联盟 (QAIS Alliance), composed of Ada Li, Angie Giraldo, Minji Koh, Suchi Chaudhuri, Tom Sato, and lead by team captain Jacob Wong entered the finals of the competition and were also a finalist in the “Robotics Roadshow” and gave an outstanding presentation to whole arena doing an excellent job as well, ultimately placing 2nd in the highest level bracket for the roadshow.

由Ada Li, Angie Giraldo, Minji Koh, Suchi Chaudhuri, Tom Sato、队长 Jacob Wong领衔组成的美亚联盟（QAIS联盟）也是 “Robotics Roadshow” 的决赛选手, 并在整个竞技比赛中展示了出色表现, 最终排名第二。

More importantly than awards and placements, our teams showcased great character, sportsmanship, teamwork, creativity, innovation, courage, problem-solving skills, perseverance, and had a great time doing it. Both teams not only worked tremendously hard day and night over the course of the competition, but many students, especially the team captains, put in countless extra hours of their own time after school in the robotics lab for many months leading up to the competition developing and showcasing STEAM skills while they built countless iterations of their robots and programs.

更重要的是，我们的团队展示了优秀的品格、体育精神、团队合作精神、创造力、创新精神、勇气、解决问题的能力、毅力，并且玩得很开心。在比赛过程中, 两队不仅夜以继日地付出巨大的努力,而且许多学生, 特别是队长, 在比赛前的几个月里, 在机器人实验室里额外投入了无数的业余时间开发和展示 STEAM 技能，建立了无数的迭代机器人和程序。
