This year, students from grades 7 through 10 have participated in Montessori Model United Nations, where they have learned how to engage in the transdisciplinary nature of global problems by working as those do in the United Nations to solve them. For some students, this course will culminate in participating in a General Assembly event in Rome, Italy (interested parents should attend the meeting this Wednesday at 2:30pm).

On Friday, all 34 students had their first practice run at a General Assembly using the skills they have learned in the course so far. All students made opening speeches, engaged in efforts to make or lobby their points, and listened to position statements of all participants prior to voting on a proposed resolution.
